Join us for a combination of tradition and authentic Costa Rican culture. Starting on the east side of San José, the first thing that we will see is the Democracy Plaza, followed by the National Museum, the Judicial Courts, then moving our way through Los Yoses, we will continue towards the San Pedro Mall and its Hispanic Heritage Fountain and then the Rodrigo Facio Campus in the University of Costa Rica.
After we have seen the capital’s main attractions, our next stop will be at the impressive Pre-Colombian Gold Museum, and the beautiful National Theater. Here you will take a guided tour through these cultural gems.
Our tour continues to the western section of San José, moving through: La Sabana Metropolitan Park, the Costa Rican Contemporary Art Museum (which was the first international Airport in Costa Rica), the National Gymnasium, the Republic of Costa Rica Treasury Office, and the Papal Residency in Costa Rica, Nobel Peace Prize winner Oscar Arias Sanchez’s home. Followed by a ride down the Rohrmoser Boulevard and through the Pavas sector of the city.
At the end of the tour you will have the opportunity to visit an interesting shopping place where you will be able to buy more than just a souvenir of your visit to San José, Costa Rica!
On Sundays, the National Theater is closed and we will only see the exterior of the building and move straight to the Pre-Colombian Gold Museum. We recommend that you bring your camera.
EL PUEBLO ANTIGUO (NIGHTLY TOUR) – ONLY ON WEDNESDAYS, FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS

This Costa Rican Nights tour is a spectacle that shows the turn of the XIX century traditions. Enjoy a show that combines the countries beliefs, dresses, music, architecture, dance and foods in a presentation full of humor, and will transport you back to the old times and the very roots of Costa Rica.
Pueblo Antiguo is a theme park, which shows the architectural infrastructure that existed in San José in the beginning of the XX century. It consists of scenery composed of recreations of old buildings. All of this, on top of activities such as folkloric dance performances, masquerades and other memories of a not so distant past.

AVENTURE COMBO TOUR

Costa Rica offers different kinds of white water rafting where the adrenaline shoots to the limit and fascinating Canopy tours can be experienced from the top of the trees. Now you can enjoy both activities combined in a single tour. Discover the natural wonders of Sarapiquí, a large territory located in the Northern part of the country, with crystalline rivers, abundant scenic beauty and towns full of hard-working friendly people.
As we depart from San José, we will drive through the Braulio Carrillo National Park, arriving then at Sarapiquí, where both adventure attractions can be enjoyed: the Canopy Tour in the middle of a secondary forest with high altitude trees, followed by lunch, and then Rafting in the white waters of the Sarapiquí River.
The Canopy Tour lasts an hour and a half as you glide through the forest from ten cables of different lengths. Rafting the Sarapiquí River on a class II or III allows vibrant scenery for those who wish to enjoy this exciting activity, a group of unexpected rapids is combined with slow relaxing stretches along a distance of 8 miles, which will make this an unforgettable for bird-watchers and nature lovers.

CANOPY TOUR – SAN LORENZO (ONE DAY)

This is definitely an adventure that you cannot miss! We depart from the city towards the mountains that surround the Central Valley, with scenery of spectacular vegetation and extensive coffee plantations, ornamental plants and picturesque typical towns of Costa Rica. As we ascend, we will enjoy the climatic changes of our country.
This is an experience that is should be enjoyed at least once in a lifetime, as we glide from one platform to the other just by flying through the canopy. Canopy San Lorenzo is located in the middle of a tropical forest reserve in a beautiful area full of orchids, bromeliads and other ornamental plants.
The sliding cable is divided into two parts: the forest section, which starts with shorter cables so that the passenger will acquire confidence while admiring the forest. And then the adventure section, with much longer cables suspended from high platforms that provide large doses of adrenaline rushes!
The total length of all the cables is 2,500 meters (8,202.10 feet). There are nineteen platforms in all and the San Lorenzo Canopy Tour is the only one that offers the single longest cable through the trees in Costa Rica, a cable that stretches 750 meters (2,460.63 feet)!
At each platform your guide with point out and explain the important features of the forest. Finally after a short walk through the forest we will have delicious lunch in the restaurant “Land in Love”.

ARENAL VOLCANO AND THE SPRINGS

Located in the northern mountains of Costa Rica, the impressive Arenal Volcano is a natural phenomenon that attracts hundreds upon thousands of tourists due to the constant activity, which on clear nights, looks like a fireworks show with flashing explosions of ash and lava.
We will continue our trip until we reach this wonder of nature, then we will go further north and make a stop in the famous town of Sarchí. This town is known as the birth place of Costa Rican artisans, and is recognized internationally.
As we continue our trek we will roll through diverse plantations of agricultural products, ornamental plants and cattle ranches, until we arrive in La Fortuna for lunch in a cozy restaurant right in front of the volcano.
Later we will take a relaxing break in one of the best thermal water attractions in the area where you can take advantage of an optional massage or other special treatments that are available only by prior reservation.
Lastly a wonderful dinner will be served with a great view of the volcano so you will not miss a single opportunity to enjoy the spectacular light show that the live volcano puts on every night. After the dinner and natural show, we will begin our return to San José.

IRAZÚ VOLCANO / OROSÍ VALLEY & LANKESTER GARDENS

We will take the Pan-American Highway south, to start ascending the Itzarú Mountain. The winding road travels through fertile lands cultivated with all kinds of fruits and vegetables, allowing you to enjoy a lovely panoramic view of the countryside. From the top of the volcano you can observe the amazing blue-green water in the giant crater, and on a clear day you can see both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
As we descend to the city of Cartago, the countries very first capital city, we will stop at the “Virgin de Los Angeles” Basilica. After visiting the Basilica, we will then venture to the Lankester gardens, which are an agricultural research center for the University of Costa Rica, with a wide diversity of tropical flora. This garden protects more than 800 species of orchids, bromeliads and other plants.
Continuing to the valley of Orosí, where creation overflows from an unparallel beauty. We will be able to visit one of the few remaining colonial churches and stop for lunch in one of the local restaurants.

POAS VOLCANO NATIONAL PARK / GRECIA / SARCHÍ

We take the Pan-American Highway towards the city of Alajuela. On the way we will visit the agricultural monument, the monument to Juan Santamaría, and the famous Mango Park. As we ascend towards the volcano we will stop for a brief explanation of our golden coffee bean, and then continue our trip through fern, flower and strawberry farms.
There is a noticeable change in temperature and vegetation preparing us for the exuberant cloud forest that surrounds the Poas volcano.
At the volcano we will have time to enjoy the impressive crater with its sulfur fumaroles, and hike on a trail to the beautiful “Botos Lagoon”. After visiting the volcano we will have time to enjoy a delicious lunch in one of the typical restaurants of the area.
Our first stop, after descending the volcano is beautiful Greece, considered one of the cleanest towns in Latin America, it is home of the only metallic churches in central America, a national monument that fills our people with pride.
Our last stop is Sarchí, known as the cradle of Costa Rican artisans, because of its fine workshops. Here we will be able to see and purchase souvenirs from the local artisans and their shops.

POAS VOLCANO / DOKA / LA PAZ WATERFALLS

Once we have finished our walk we will enjoy a buffet style lunch and then begin our return trip to San José.

OROSÍ VALLEY AND LANKESTER GARDENS

We will drive you through the unforgettable rain forest of the Braulio Carrillo National Park, one of the most important rainforest reserves in Costa Rica. Then we will take you on a relaxing boat ride on the Sarapiquí River, just sit back and observe the wildlife that is around you.

THE BEST OF THE PACIFIC (Beach Tour)

We depart from San José towards the Pacific coast via the Old Spanish route of 1606, including a brief stop along the way for breakfast. Once we arrive at our first destination we will ride a boat along the Tarcoles River. Our guides will float us through the world of crocodiles and different kinds of water and migratory birds.
After this relaxing yet educational boat ride, you will visit one of the most beautiful protected areas, Punta Leona Resort, an exotic paradise surrounded by 750 hectares of transitional tropical wet forest to tropical dry forest, which is characteristic of this region. The unmatchable beauty of its white sand beaches and deep Blue Ocean are a true rarity on the Pacific coastline.
You will have all day free to enjoy this beautiful place and to relish the addition optional activities available, such as water sports, bathing in the crystalline waters of the ocean or using the resorts swimming pools. The tour includes a delicious lunch served in one of the local restaurants.
In the afternoon you may wish to enjoy an optional guided walk through the jungle. Taking an hour and a half, it is a great opportunity to observe wild life such as reptiles, amphibians and scorpions, not to mention all the different wild birds living in the trees around you.
