Procedures

Our procedures vary from a simple dental cleaning to Dental Implants and Veneers, Whitening, anything and everything that will give the result of a PERFECT KAVER SMILE! We provide before and after pictures for your benefit and satisfaction.

Instructions for the days that you will be using a temporary Unit.
  1. It is normal that you feel slight discomfort when eating or drinking anything hot or cold.
  2. If you feel pain, you should take an analgesic that does not cause you secondary effects or that will make you drowsy.
  3. It is normal for your gums to be slightly reddish and/or somewhat irritated. (You can gargle with warm salt water to minimize the discomfort).
  4. You should NOT floss in the area that the temporary unit is placed, you should avoid biting/chewing with them and avoid as much as possible chewing with your front teeth.
  5. DO NOT CHEW GUM! Or any other chewy foods.
  6. Avoid biting into anything hard with your temporary unit.
  7. If your temporary unit should somehow fall out, you MUST put it in a safe place and come to the clinic as soon as possible to have it replaced.
  8. The temporary unit has no permanent purpose for your final results. Their only purpose is to protect your teeth during the process of having the permanent units placed.

Patient Take - Home Instructions

1.Congratulations on your writer, brighter smile! We ´re sure you will want to do everything you can to protect it. Here are some helpful hints:

  • Red wine
  • Soy sauce
  • Coffee and tea
  • Berries or other dark fruits sauces
  • Tomatoes and tomatoes sauces / sauces
  • Dark vegetables and citrus fruits / juices
  • Colas (Coca-cola, root beer, etc)
  • Foods containing dyes or artificial colorings
  • 2.It is normal for some people to experience minor tooth sensitivity for 1-3 days after procedure. To minimize this, you may want to avoid excessively hot or cold foods and beverages. With the approval of your doctor, you may want to take a mild analgesic. If you experience any severe or prolonged sensitivity, you should contact our office, 2290-2323 or 2290-0303.
    3.Get regular dental care. Regularly scheduled professional cleanings and good oral hygiene will help preserve your smile.
    4.All whitening procedures eventually wear off and teeth gradually return to a darker shade. To prolong the whiteness, avoid tobacco and minimize your use of staining foods and beverages. You may want to touch up your teeth with at- home whitening products from time to time. We can help you determine what, if any, maintenance program you should follow.

Post Extraction Care for Patient
  1. Keep gauze clenched into the extraction site for 30 to 45 minutes. If bleeding persists or if needed, change gauze for a clean one until bleeding stops.
  2. ONLY eat soft, cool foods. Nothing HOT! Chew ONLY on the opposite side of the extraction.
  3. Brush your teeth cautiously. Be careful NOT to touch the effected area.
  4. Furthermore:
    • DO NOT rinse/gargle or spit any more than when you brush your teeth, and even then, this must be done with care.
    • DO NOT touch the area of the extraction with your tongue or fingers.
    • DO NOT use a straw during 24 hours after the extraction, this includes all types of suction such as drinking from a straw, etc…
    • DO NOT do any strenuous physical activities for 48 hours after the extraction.
    • DO NOT drink any alcoholic beverages or smoke for 24 hours after the extraction.
  1. Take a compressed pill, or envelope or have a shot administered of ENANTYUM (25mg) one hour prior to the extraction and one compressed pill or envelope of ENANTYUM (25mg) every 8 hours after the extraction until the inflammation and pain is gone.
  2. If any inflammation, bleeding or severe pain persists, call us RIGHT AWAY at 2290-2323 or 2290-0303.
Fillings

The patient may feel sensitivity to cold and heat for a few days after the restoration.

Should not eat until the anesthesia is gone, because it can cause soft tissue damage.

Teeth cleaning

    This procedure is performed to remove plaque and tartar from the teeth.

    Should be performed every 6 months.

    It is normal during and after cleaning may have bleeding.

    Should continue brushing and flossing normally.

    If you feel pain, you should take an analgesic that does not cause you secondary effects or that will make you drowsy.

Crowns, bridges and veneers

    Should not eat until the anesthesia is gone,  because it can cause soft tissue damage.

    The patient should not be eating until the numbness is gone, and that can cause injury to soft tissue.

    After the impressions are made, the patient may feel sensitive, discomfort in the gums and teeth, all this will be disappearing when the final restoration is cemented.

    Should continue with normal brushing.

    After the final restoration is placed normal to experience a slight change in your bite in the early days, but if you feel discomfort when biting should contact us as this could cause damage to teeth
